What You'll Do:

  • Provide professional, efficient care based on best practices in speech-language therapy and hospital policies.
  • Perform thorough evaluations and create tailored treatment plans, including comprehensive discharge strategies.
  • Accurately document patient progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with industry standards.
  • Offer compassionate support to patients facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

  • Supervise and mentor student affiliates when needed, adhering to ASHA standards.

Programs of service include an 87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and a 40-bed acute psychiatric hospital. Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution, recognized by ASHA.
  • Licensure: Current Virginia certification to practice as a Speech Therapist, with active registration and certification.
