Due to tremendous growth our national call center is adding an experienced Benefit Analyst at our regional office conveniently located in Brentwood, TN Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Position Summary: Benefits Analysts are responsible for verifying, securing and documenting patients’ insurance benefits. Benefit Analysts are also responsible for assimilating various payer requirements and coordinating that with patient clinical information in order to accurately project financial pricing

 

Job Duties:

  • Initiates the benefit verification processes in order to take action necessary to assure proper verifications are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
  • Educates staff regarding proper documentation to more accurately and effectively verify benefits.
  • Completes benefit verifications with third party payers in a timely, effective manner.
  • Analyzes patient’s clinical status to determine estimated level of care days.
  • Documents details of benefits and accurately reports patient benefit status.
  • Accurately documents patients’ benefits into electronic records system
  • Performs audits of staff entries from electronic records system

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years related experience required
  • Must possess detailed knowledge of patient billing and medical coding.
  • Thorough understanding and the ability to read and analyze the Explanation of Benefits
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of the UB04 and CMS 1500 Claim Forms.
  • Must be able to analyze discrepancies on the EOB and provide details for correction to the medical billing team.
  • Must have at least intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other billing software products
  • Ability to read, write and analyze detailed and complex data.
